PHI Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner Fellowships in CV Critical Care, Surgery, and Cardiovascular Disease
The Piedmont Heart Institute has enjoyed a long history of successful post-graduate training for advanced practice providers. The PHI PA/NP Fellowships in Cardiovascular Critical Care, Surgery, and Cardiovascular Disease has witnessed significant growth since its inaugural class in 2014. The initial fellowship began as a residency for post graduate physician associates with advanced training in cardiac critical care. In 2018, the program transitioned into a fellowship to allow for both post-graduate physician assistants and nurse practitioners. A second track of the fellowship began in 2019 with a focus on cardiac surgery critical care. Additional tracks in Cardiovascular Surgery and Cardiovascular Disease began in 2024.
