Piedmont Macon Medical Center Visitor Information
Care Partner Policy (Updated December 4, 2024)
- Visitation hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Visitors should arrive no later than 7:30 p.m. in order to sign in and visit their loved one before visiting hours are over.
- For security purposes, we require a photo I.D. for visitation.
- The minimum age for visitors is 12 years old. An adult must accompany visitors under the age of 16.
- A few departments have stricter visitation policies, including:
- ICU/CVICU: limit two visitors at one time.
- ER: limit one visitor per patient.
- Rehab: visitation Monday through Friday, 4-8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Please do not visit if you have a fever, cough or symptoms of illness.
No Patient Left Alone Act
During the 2024 legislative session, the Georgia General Assembly passed the No Patient Left Alone Act, which was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on May 6, 2024, and made effective on July 1, 2024. This legislation establishes visitation rights for individuals admitted to hospitals and long-term care facilities.
