Spiritual Care at Piedmont Fayette
Fayette Hospital, we believe that each person deserves to be respected and treated as a whole person. Being in the hospital is not easy, and it takes a toll on a person and family in body, mind, and spirit. The chaplains in our Spiritual Care Services Department are available and deeply honored to be with you in the rollercoaster journey of your hospital stay.
Whether or not you consider yourself religious, spiritual care can provide a special measure of connection and comfort. As an integral service at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, the Spiritual Care Services Department includes staff and volunteers who focus on your own personal spiritual preferences.
Our Chaplains are trained to honor and respect all diverse expressions of spirituality. Our Chaplains also understand that some people do not have a particular spirituality, but still may need someone to listen to them and journey with them in a difficult time. Whether you are a Piedmont Fayette patient, family member, friend or staff member, Spiritual Care Service is here to compassionately accompany you with:
- Listening
- Open-hearted conversation about hope, gratitude, fear, connection and meaning
- A calm presence
- Prayers and blessings
- Religious rituals or sacraments
- Help with practical matters, such as Advance Directives
Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. To get in touch with a chaplain, call the hospital operator at 770-719-7002, and the on-call chaplain will be located.
