- Family Medicine Inpatient Service: 4 Weeks
- Internal Medicine: 4 Weeks
- Night Float: 10 Weeks

- Pediatrics Inpatient: 8 Weeks
- Surgery: 4 Weeks
- Geriatrics: 4 Weeks
- Anesthesiology: 2 Weeks
- Orthopedics: 2 Weeks
- Family Medicine Clinic: 2 Weeks
- Elective: 4 Weeks
- First-year: Family Medicine Center, 1 half day per week
PGY-2 Schedule
- Family Medicine Inpatient Service: 4 Weeks
- Internal Medicine: 4 Weeks
- Night Float: 8 Weeks

- Family Medicine Clinic: 4 Weeks
- Pediatrics Clinic: 4 Weeks
- Adult ED: 4 Weeks
- ICU: 4 Weeks

- Sports Medicine: 4 Weeks
- Elective: 4 Weeks
- Second-Year: Family Medicine Center, 2-3 half days per week seeing your assigned panel of patients
PGY-3 Schedule
- Family Medicine Inpatient Service: 4 Weeks
- Night Float: 4 Weeks
- Family Medicine Clinic: 14 Weeks
- Pediatrics Clinic: 4 Weeks
- Pediatrics ED: 4 Weeks
- Community Medicine: 2 Weeks
- GYN: 4 Weeks
- Elective: 16 Weeks
- Third-Year: Family Medicine Center, 3-4 half days per week seeing your assigned panel of patients
Didactics
At PCR, we believe in robust didactics and interactive learning. We hold lectures and workshops on a variety of ACGME-endorsed topics, such as: board exam and KSA reviews, Patient Safety, Quality, Business of Medicine, Journal Club, Business Meetings, Behavioral Health/Well-being, Career Management.
In addition to faculty lectures and some procedure workshops on items like ultrasound and procedures, residents will also get the opportunity to present case studies, discuss journal articles, and present 2 scholarly projects at Piedmont Grand Rounds and Research Day.
Our current didactic schedule is Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., and Friday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. We also offer paid-for memberships with asynchronous learning tools, like MedChallenger, ExamMaster, FP Comprehensive Board Prep, and AFP Journal memberships. Additionally, we offer $2,000 a year per resident for CME options--more than most programs.
