Covington, Ga. (October 30, 2024) – Piedmont Physicians Gastroenterology Newton now has a third gastroenterologist available to see patients. Taiwo Afolashade Ajose, M.D., has joined the practice located in the Physicians Pavilion at Piedmont Newton Hospital. The address is 4181 Hospital Drive NE, Suite 202, Covington, Ga. 30014.

Dr. Ajose earned her medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Ajose completed her fellowship in gastroenterology at The University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Ajose is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Ajose’s special interests include colon cancer screening and esophageal disorders as well as advancing women in the health care field and bridging health care gaps.
