Columbus, Ga. (September 19, 2024) – Piedmont Columbus Regional recently hosted their annual Promise 360 Awards Celebration. The event recognized the hospital’s monthly winners from the past year and named two overall annual champions.

Piedmont Columbus Midtown Emergency Department patient care technician James Manning and Piedmont Columbus Northside physical therapist Ariana Zanganeh were named the annual champions.

James rescued a man that was in medical distress after falling asleep in his car with no air conditioning on a hot summer day. He was treated in the Emergency Department for heat-related illness.

Ariana met a foster child that was hospitalized for mobility issues and suicidal thoughts. She grew close to the patient during their therapy sessions by being a listening ear and even helping the patient with homework. The patient made great improvements thanks to Ariana’s care and compassion.

The runners-up at this year’s award ceremony were Piedmont Columbus Midtown NICU transport coordinator Phillip Eldridge and Piedmont Columbus Northside support technician Duane Armstrong.

“We are about service above ourselves and we put the patient at the center of everything we do,” said Piedmont Columbus Regional CEO Scott Hill. “All our Promise 360 award winners are those who exemplify the very best that Piedmont stands for in our community.”

The overall winner from each hospital in the Piedmont system, like Gaby and Sharon, becomes a nominee for the President’s Award, which will be presented later this year.
