Columbus, Ga. (August 19, 2024) – Piedmont Columbus Regional is providing $10,000 in support to MercyMed of Columbus, a faith-based medical clinic that cares for everyone from all walks of life regardless of insurance or income. In addition to the medical clinic, MercyMed provides specialty services like counseling, physical therapy, dietetics, dental care, vision care, speech therapy and imaging services.

“MercyMed plays an important role in providing access to health care in our community,” said Piedmont Columbus Regional CEO Scott Hill. “Our community becomes even stronger when nonprofit organizations, like MercyMed, become healthier and livelier through generous community support.”

Piedmont hospitals across the state donated a combined total of $200,000 in specialized grants to numerous nonprofits. This support is part of Piedmont’s commitment to empowering Georgians by changing healthcare, as Piedmont truly believes that real change lives here.
