Atlanta, Ga. (July 10, 2024) – Belinda Brown-Saddler, M.D., a Piedmont Concierge Medicine physician and an Atlanta Magazine "Top Doctors 2024" honoree, is inviting the public to join her for a walk along the Atlanta BeltLine for "Walk with a Doc."

The popular wellness event will be held at 10 a.m. July 26 under the overpass at the Eastside BeltLine Marketplace, 850 Willoughby Way NE Atlanta, Ga., 30312. Participants will have the opportunity to get some fresh air exercise, hear about topics important to Dr. Brown-Saddler, and get to know her outside of her practice.

"I usually tell my patients that your lifestyle changes impact your health, so I'm a big promoter of exercise," said Dr. Brown-Saddler. "I tell everyone, no matter how old they are, that exercise is key. You want to keep moving, you want to keep your joints limber. It's good for your cardio health, it's good for your stress level, it's good for your weight management."

Studies have also shown that regular walking helps prevent conditions such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes. Regular walking can has also increase energy level, and improve your mood, cognition, memory and sleep.

Before the walk, Dr. Brown-Saddler will briefly discuss important insights into women's health issues from female primary preventive care and nutrition tips, to tips for managing specific conditions.

"Walk with a Doc is a great opportunity for everyone to get low-impact physical activity at their own pace and distance, while also gaining insight and tips on how to continue a healthy lifestyle going forward," Brown-Saddler said.

Those joining Dr. Brown-Saddler during the estimated 45-minute walk can continue the conversation and ask her some general health and wellness related questions. The walk is also a good opportunity to connect with others who share an interest in women's health in a relaxed environment.

Walk with a Doc will begin at 10 a.m. and participants should arrive 10 -15 minutes before start time. To register for the free event, visit piedmont.org/walkwithadoc or call 877-527-3712.
