Current Responsibilities

As the Director of Major Gifts at Piedmont Healthcare Foundation Erica, she is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of donors and securing major gifts to support Piedmont Healthcare's system-wide philanthropic priorities. She also supports the fundraising efforts for Piedmont locations in Macon, Newton, Rockdale, and Walton communities.

Prior Experience 
Erica has over 15 years of professional experience in fundraising and development in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining Piedmont Healthcare, she served as a Major Gifts Manager at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, where she focused on individual and planned giving. Erica began her nonprofit fundraising career in higher education at Georgia State University (GSU). During her 12 years at GSU, she worked in annual, major, planned, and scholarship giving. Erica secured several transformative gifts during the $300M-Burning Bright campaign during her time at the university. She began her professional career working for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, GA, focusing on membership and program development.

Education, Awards and Community 
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Georgia, Masters in Philanthropy and Development from LaGrange College, and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. Erica serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Atlanta Chapter Board and is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
