Augusta, Ga. (February 20, 2025) – The application window is now open for the Piedmont Augusta’s 2025 Junior Volunteer Program. This competitive Junior Volunteer Program is for students who attend local high schools or home-schooled students.
“The program is for high school students ages 14-17 looking to pursue careers in healthcare to see what it’s really like so they can make plans for their future,” said Volunteer Services Manager Pam Weinberger.
Students get volunteer opportunities in a variety of clinical and nonclinical settings at Piedmont Augusta in departments like Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology, Dietary and Environmental Services.
Those who are interested can visit Piedmont.org/Volunteers to view instructions and download required documents— including an application, school reference form, and health record requirements that will need to be provided if accepted into the program. The application and required forms must be submitted by the March 7, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. deadline.
Applicants will undergo an interview process in late March, and the 2025 six-week summer program will take place Monday through Friday from June 9 through July 18. Lunch and Learn sessions will be available for all accepted Junior Volunteers throughout the program.
