Columbus, Ga. (August 15, 2024) – The loveliest mascot on the Plains, Auburn University's Aubie, visited Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown.

The visit was part of his #RollinWithAubie tour before the college football season kicks off. Aubie was greeted by hospital staff as he visited sick and injured children in the hospital and babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Aubie also got to tour the construction site of the future Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital, which opens this fall, and get inside a NICU transport ambulance.

Piedmont Columbus Regional has quite a connection with Auburn University— the two organizations formed a brand awareness partnership for Auburn Athletics events in January 2023, and students from Auburn University’s Dance Marathon have fundraised $4 million to date for Piedmont Columbus Regional.
