Piedmont Augusta is currently hiring a Surgical Oncologist to support our rapidly growing and evolving Oncology program at our Augusta, GA campus. This opportunity will allow the candidate to join an established surgical oncology practice and work with the team leading cancer care in the region. The ideal physician will have training and experience in head and neck cancer care and the passion to help make Piedmont Healthcare and our patients better, and, to help support and expand the clinical excellence known that defines the Piedmont Healthcare family.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform surgical cases on a variety of patients with head and neck related cancers. 
• Perform hospital rounds on inpatients to include surgical floor and intensive care units
• Communicate patient condition changes to physician and coordinate car
• Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
• Answer ER calls
• Perform H&Ps, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients
