Chronic Deep Vein Thrombosis Study
This clinical research study is being conducted for the treatment of Chronic Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) with Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS). With this study, we are evaluating how well the EkoSonic® Endovascular System works with clots that are at least 6 months old.
Purpose Of The Study
The purpose of the study is to evaluate…
- Whether your PTS symptoms improve after the study treatment
- How much leg blood clot can be dissolved using the EkoSonic® Endovascular System with a thrombolytic drug (clot-dissolving drug)
- How much blood flow can be restored in your leg
What’s Involved In The Study?
If you qualify and choose to participate in this leg blood clot study, you will be admitted into the hospital for an over-night stay to have a procedure that places EkoSonic® Endovascular System in the leg with the affected vein. The thrombolytic drug (clot-dissolving drug) will be administered overnight while information, including ultrasound images of your legs, will be collected to document how well you do immediately after the procedure.
