As the corporate body that provides oversight and support for research activities throughout the Piedmont Healthcare system, the Piedmont Healthcare Research Institute (PHRI) strives to establish an environment where physicians and research scientists from varied disciplines can work together to cross-pollinate ideas and solutions to a wide range of health problems.

PHRI works collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide research, administrative support including regulatory compliance, bioinformatics, financial and contracts management, and grants administration.

The Institute works across all therapeutic areas to coordinate and facilitate the development of research, while fostering a culture of quality performance.

Under the guidance of the PHRI, the past four years have witnessed dramatic growth in research at Piedmont Healthcare. Two areas experiencing exponential progress include oncology and cardiovascular research.
