Transcatheter Treatment of Tricuspid Valve Disease: Treating the Forgotten Valve
Severe tricuspid regurgitation is an unmet clinical need. The Marcus Heart Valve Center has been on the forefront of a minimally invasive therapy for tricuspid valve repair. At the iMAGINE 3-D Echo 360 Conference in Atlanta, Dr. Christopher Meduri looks into why the tricuspid valve has been known as the “forgotten valve” and discussed safety data from the SCOUT feasibility study of Trialign Transcatheter Repair. Transcatheter options offer hope for patients, “and I think that there are a lot of patients out there who need it – it’s a matter of identifying and getting them to a place that can offer them these therapies,” he said.
