Dr. Friedman received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New
York at Stony Brook and then went on to receive his medical degree at the State
University of New York’s School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He went on to
the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he completed his
internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery.
Dr. Friedman is board certified in neurosurgery and has special interests in
spinal disorders, including spinal stenosis (cervical, thoracic and
lumcosacral), herniated disks (lumbar and cervical), and tumors of the spine. He
also has a special interest in neurostimulation for chronic pain.
