Catherine Dekle, M.D. earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating at the top of her class. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University and was recognized as the Outstanding Resident in General Internal Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in history from Yale University.
Dr. Dekle has been working at Piedmont since 2010 and is on staff at Piedmont Hospital. Prior to joining the Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Dekle practiced internal medicine at the Centers for Disease Control and at Emory University. At Emory she was an instructor in the Department of Medicine. Before moving to Atlanta in 2003, Dr. Dekle served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University and practiced at the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital.
Board certified in internal medicine since 2001, Dr. Dekle is a member of the physician honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and of the American College of Physicians. She takes time with each of her patients and values communication between the physician and patient. In her free time, Dr. Dekle enjoys ballet and modern dance.
Dr. Dekle welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
