Howard C. Chandler, Jr., M.D. earned his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed a surgical internship and a neurosurgical residency at the University of Florida. He then completed an international spine fellowship focusing on tumors of the skull base at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, England. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.
Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Neurosurgery, Dr. Chandler practiced as a neurosurgical oncologist at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Fla. where he built and directed their successful brain tumor center. He also served as Medical Director of the Baptist Cancer Institute Stereotactic Radiosurgery program. Dr. Chandler limits his practice to the treatment of brain tumors and has extensive experience in the latest surgical and non-invasive radiosurgical treatments for tumors of the brain. Dr. Chandler has been practicing medicine since 1994.
Dr. Chandler welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
