Piedmont Augusta Pulmonary Clinic Accepting New Patients

Augusta, Ga. (March 18, 2025) – Piedmont has expanded access to lung care options with the opening of its first local Pulmonology clinic location, Piedmont Physicians Pulmonary Augusta.

The new location is on the fourth floor, Suite 4A, of Piedmont Augusta’s Medical Office Building 1 at 820 St. Sebastian Way. Piedmont Physicians Pulmonary Medicine specializes in treating and managing lung diseases and allergies.

Appointments are available for services such as COPD, Chronic Bronchitis, Cough, Emphysema, Infectious Lung Disease, Interstitial Lung Disease, Lung Cancer, Pleural Diseases, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pulmonology Consultation, Pulmonary Nodules and Sarcoidosis.

Sebastian Circo, M.D., Philip Forys, M.D., and Jason Henry, M.D. are now accepting new patients.

Sebastian Circo, M.D. specializes in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. He earned his medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. His clinical focus is on caring for patients in the intensive care unit at Piedmont Augusta. Dr. Circo specializes in general Pulmonology with a special interest in pulmonary embolism and lung cancer screening. Dr. Circo is board certified in critical care medicine, pulmonary medicine, and internal medicine. He has been practicing medicine in the Augusta area for over ten years.

Philip Forys, M.D. specializes in pulmonology and critical care medicine. He earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. He has been practicing medicine for 10 years. Dr. Forys was the Director of the Endobronchial Lung Volume Reduction Program and Pulmonary Rehab at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Forys was the Associate Program Director for Pulmonary and Critical Care. He has clinical interests in patients with COPD, Emphysema, Lung Cancer, and Critical Care.

Jason Henry, MD, has been practicing medicine for over 10 years and is a board certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician. Prior to joining Piedmont, he served as both staff physician and as the director of the respiratory therapy department at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. Dr. Henry specializes in general pulmonology, advanced bronchoscopy and the diagnosis and management of pleural diseases. His special interests include robotic assisted bronchoscopy and lung cancer diagnosis.
