Monroe, Ga. (February 4, 2025) – Piedmont Walton Hospital is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for its second annual Healthcare Day Camp, scheduled to take place on June 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This unique opportunity is open to rising juniors and senior high school students from Walton County, offering them an immersive experience into the world of healthcare.
"We are thrilled to offer this program to our local high school students," said Jamilla Fontenot, MSN-RN, clinical education coordinator at Piedmont Walton Hospital. "Our goal is to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals by providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the field and the many rewarding career paths it offers."
The Healthcare Day Camp aims to expose students to various aspects of healthcare and the diverse career opportunities available within their community. Participants will have the chance to connect with clinical workers, gain hands-on experience with clinical skills, and learn about the vital roles that healthcare professionals play in their community.
