Athens, Ga. (January 24, 2025) – Piedmont Athens Regional is excited to announce its second annual Teddy Bear Clinic, sponsored by the McLeroy Family Foundation, in celebration of Child Life Month. This fun, free event is designed for children ages 3-8 years and will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Piedmont Athens Regional, Medical Services Building A.
"We are thrilled to again partner with the McLeroy Family Foundation to bring this event to our community," said Deanna Warren, MS, CCLS, who is the Child Life Specialist at Piedmont Athens Regional. "The Piedmont Athens Teddy Bear Clinic is a unique way to celebrate Child Life Month and support the health and well-being of our youngest patients."
The Teddy Bear Clinic offers a unique opportunity for children to explore common medical procedures through play. This engaging event aims to familiarize young children with medical environments and procedures in a non-threatening way, helping to reduce anxiety and build positive associations with healthcare.
