Atlanta, Ga. (January 22, 2025) – Aligning with its mission to provide quality care closer to home, Piedmont has welcomed 16 new primary care providers during the last quarter. 

Primary care providers (PCPs), including doctors and advanced practice practitioners, are important in helping manage the overall health of patients. PCPs have a wide range of responsibilities including regular checkups, developing plans to help to prevent diseases, coordinating care, and diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries and other health conditions.

“We are excited to be able to expand access to quality care as we know patients in some areas of the state can have long waits for an appointment to be seen by a primary care doctor,” said Michelle Fisher, Piedmont’s President of Primary Care & Retail Services. “These new providers are here to help the community take charge and stay ahead of their health.”

Patients have access to same-day or next-day appointments, online scheduling, and virtual visits, depending on their appointment type, for safe access to our care team. Providers accept most insurance plans.

Below are the new primary care providers who joined Piedmont last quarter:

• Stephanie Okeke, M.D., Piedmont Physicians at Atlantic Station – Atlanta
  Dr. Stephanie Okeke is board certified in Family Medicine and specializes in women’s health, preventative health, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular health, and adult and teen health. Dr. Okeke is passionate about holistic medicine, and lives by the motto "if you take care of your body, your body will take care of you."
   
• Yasmin Rosshandler, D.O., Piedmont Physicians at North Druid Hills – Atlanta
  Dr. Yasmin Rosshandler is board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in preventive care. Dr. Rosshandler provides treatment and services for adults, including women’s health/gynecological exams. She has a special interest in women’s health and preventative care, with a focus on lifestyle medicine.
   
• Victoria Wright, M.D., Piedmont Physicians at Roswell Road – Atlanta
  Dr. Victoria Wright is board certified in Family Medicine, specializing in adult medicine. She is passionate about creating a comfortable environment where her patients can feel heard and empowered to live healthy, balanced lives by focusing on whole-person care and addressing physical, mental and emotional wellness.
   
• Robert Favrot Vickers, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Brookhaven – Brookhaven
  Dr. Robert F. Vickers graduated from the University of Miami where he majored in biology before continuing to Medical School at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of South Alabama in Family Medicine. Dr. Vickers specializes in preventative care for all ages, behavioral health, and diabetes.
   
• Jalessa Jonelle Graham-Hudgins, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Sandy Springs – Sandy Springs
  Dr. Jalessa Graham-Hudgins attended American University of Antigua College of Medicine before completing her Internal Medicine Residency with Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership.  Dr. Graham-Hudgins specializes in acute illnesses, annual physicals, immunizations, cancer screenings, women’s health, weight management, thyroid disease, headaches, mental health, allergies, and chronic diseases like hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes.
   
• Akua Elizabeth Asiamah-McMillan, M.D., Piedmont Physicians Anglyn Internal Medicine – McDonough
  Dr. Akua Elizabeth Asiamah-McMillan earned her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed residency at the Medical College of Georgia. She is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She treats medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, asthma, etc. She has a special interest in women's health and adolescent health.
   
• Hina Durani, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Stockbridge – Stockbridge
  Dr. Hina Durani earned her medical degree from Block M North Nazimabad and completed her residency at West Virginia University. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
   
• Kabir Das, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Stockbridge – Stockbridge
  Dr. Kabir Das earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College and completed his residency at Mercer University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
   
• Patrice D Thompson, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Peachtree City - Kedron Primary Care – Peachtree City
  Dr. Patrice Thompson earned her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Thompson’s special interests include hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, long-acting reversible contraception (Nexplanon, IUD’s), pap smears, and skin tag removals.
   
• Teodoro Alberto Pineda, P.A., Piedmont Primary Care of Snellville – Snellville
  Teodoro Pineda, PA-C, earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Morehouse School of Medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont, he worked as a Physician Associate at Concur Urgent Care. Teodoro specializes in patient care, medical triage, communication, and patient relations.
   
• Jensil Philip Daniel, D.O, Piedmont Primary Care of Snellville – Snellville
  Dr. Jensil Philip Daniel earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York Institute of Technology. She completed her residency at Eastern Connecticut Health Network. Dr. Daniel specializes in Primary Care with a focus on geriatric medicine and also has expertise in urgent care procedures, such as suturing, abscess drainage, and preliminary imaging evaluations.
   
• Kiara Phelps, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of South Columbus – Columbus
  Dr. Kiara Phelps is board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the AMA and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She received her medical degree from University of Medicine & Health Sciences, St. Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis. She did her PGY1-PGY3 residency at LSU Rural Family Medicine where she trained in minimally invasive procedures (I&D, sutures, skin biopsy) and gained clinical experience in Orthopedics, Pediatric, ED, OBGYN, and General Surgery Specialties.
   
• Dusty Ray Bright, N.P., Piedmont Primary Care at Cartersville – Cartersville
  Dusty Bright earned his Master of Science in Family Practice Nurse at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Nursing from University of West Georgia. He treats a variety of conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, anxiety, and depression, among other chronic illnesses.
   
• Advija Ibrisimovic, M.D., Piedmont Physicians of Monroe – Monroe
  Dr. Advija Ibrisimovic earned her medical degree from University of Tuzla Medical School (BiH) and completed her residency at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ibrisimovic specializes in Primary Care with special interest in diabetes, hypertension, preventative care and women's health.
   
• Christina Mary Johnson Skariah, D.O., Piedmont Physicians of Evans – Evans
  Dr. Christina Johnson Skariah is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Passionate about managing a wide spectrum of conditions—including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and mental health—she advocates for a proactive approach to wellness through preventive medicine.
   
• Blondenia Labrew, N.P., Piedmont Physicians at Silver Bluff – Aiken, S.C.
  Blondenia Labrew is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kaplan University, and a Master of Nursing from Purdue University Global. She has more than 20 years of medical experience.
