Athens, Ga. (December 17, 2024) – Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Heart Institute in Athens are pleased to welcome Antonio Sotolongo, M.D., an electrophysiologist, to Athens. Dr. Sotolongo is taking new patient appointments at the 242 King Avenue practice location.
Dr. Sotolongo joins Piedmont Heart Institute with more than five years of experience practicing electrophysiology and is skilled in catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as offering treatments for conditions such as supraventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation (AFib).
Dr. Sotolongo earned his medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency and then a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He then attended University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, for a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship.
