Athens, Ga. (December 16, 2024) – Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Physicians Group are pleased to announce that Amal Masri, M.D., a surgeon specializing in gynecologic oncology, has joined the Piedmont Physicians Gynecology Oncology Athens practice located at 1010 Prince Avenue.

Dr. Masri is a fellowship-trained specialist in the treatment of ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers as well as complex benign gynecological conditions. She performs many of her surgeries robotically, but is equally skilled in open and laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Masri blends clinical expertise with ongoing research to provide the most advanced treatment plans, personalized to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Masri earned her medical degree from FIU Herbert Wetheim College of Medicine before completing her OB/GYN residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. She received further training during a fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
