Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation, Radiology Partners Georgia to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon

Columbus, Ga. (September 12, 2024) – Don’t be in De-Nile, join the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as they take a trip to ancient Egypt for the 24th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon benefitting the Elena Amos Breast Care Center.

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. so guests can enjoy the annual Pink Partner Expo. The tradition of entertaining continues at 11:30 a.m. with lunch, a keynote address from two-time cancer survivor and stand-up comedian Mack Dryden and an inspiring story of hope from featured breast cancer survivor Liz Mathis.

Community support of this one-of-a-kind event last year raised over $108,000 to help create Hope and Healing Gardens at the John B. Amos Cancer Center and continued to fund pink ribbon comfort bags for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. This year, event proceeds will be used to purchase a Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) system for the breast care center.

“This annual luncheon has provided important financial support to fund equipment, patient support, and staff education,” said Executive Director of the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Aline Lasseter. “Your support means more now than ever as we seek to enhance the high-quality care 23,000 breast care patients receive each year.”

Contact the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation at 706-660-6559 or email Rachel.Dye@piedmont.org to purchase a luncheon table, individual seats or make a donation.
