Athens, Ga. (June 3, 2024) – Piedmont Athens Regional’s Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support hosted its annual Cancer Survivor Block Party on June 2, National Cancer Survivors Day. Even a little rain didn't dampen the spirits of those who gathered to celebrate survivorship. 

The block party was started three years ago to celebrate those who have faced cancer and serve as inspiration for those who have recently been diagnosed.  Patients, caregivers, staff, friends and family gathered together for food, games, entertainment, and support. 

The Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support offers a full range of services to help guide patients and families through one of the most difficult times of their lives. They offer a variety of programs to help with physical, mental, and spiritual health.
